Our March Outstanding Employee of the Month

Rebekha E. Stevens, has been named Outstanding Employee for the month of March at New Day Children’s Center.   The award was established by the Board of Directors to recognize a New Day staff member for going above and beyond in a way that makes a positive impact on the lives of children.  Stevens, a 2014 graduate of Jefferson Community College’s Early Childhood program, has been an assistant teacher in the infant room since September 2015.
 Rebekha Stevens is an excellent teacher and truly understands Responsive Caregiving. She has worked hard at developing caring relationships with infants and their parents, understanding the importance of those relationships on the child’s learning and development. Rebekha demonstrates the theory of “parents as partners”.
