Kelly Oatman Fundraiser
Dear Parents,
We are writing to let you know about an exciting event we have coming up in September – the Annual Kelly Oatman Memorial Tournament to benefit New Day Children’s Center.
Kelly was a 4-year old Head Teacher at New Day for 26 years! She passed away in 2012 from cancer; however, her family has ensured our beloved Kelly’s legacy at New Day lives on. Each year, we invite New Day staff, parents, friends and board members to take part in a fun golf tournament and basket raffle in Kelly’s memory. All net proceeds benefit New Day Children’s Center.
The 11th annual tournament is back and better than ever! It will be held on September 16th at the Rustic Golf & Country Club in Dexter. The event includes a 9 hole Captain and Crew golf tournament followed by dinner and basket raffle.
Kelly’s family organizes this event each year; however, the Fundraising Committee at New Day is planning the raffle prizes. We are asking for your help! Each classroom is donating a themed basket and we hope you will consider donating an item or two. New Day families will have the opportunity to view the baskets the week prior to the event. Raffle tickets to win baskets can be purchased at the tournament. We hope this will encourage families to golf or join us for dinner.
You also have the opportunity to be a hole sponsor for the golf portion. Your family or your business would be advertised on the course.
Register a team for golf or just dinner! We guarantee food, prizes and FUN!
In the meantime, we ask that any donations for the baskets be dropped off with your child’s teacher by Friday, September 8th.
