Threes
The three year olds have busy days with lots of fun things to do. They love to make things and bake things and listen to stories. It's great fun to learn the Days of the Week song and shake your sillies out! The children enjoy outside play and Wednesday mornings at the Farmers Market in the Summer. There are two teachers in the 3 Year Old classroom. UPK 3 has three teachers during the UPK program, with two teachers providing wrap-around care during non-program hours.
Our Three Year Old Rooms
3 Year Old
Miranda Quintana, LeadTeacher
A (mostly) life-long resident of the Watertown area, early childhood education has been my passion for nearly 14 years. I joined New Day about 3.5 years ago, starting in the infant room and now I am a teacher in the 3 year old room. New Day has given me the opportunity to work with so many different age groups. While I enjoy working with every age group, the 3 year old classroom has reminded me why I got started in early childhood education all those years ago. I grew up in Watertown, briefly venturing to Massachusetts and Washington State; but there is no place like home! In 2020 I earned the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, which greatly enhances my ability to teach and interact with the children. In my spare time I enjoy playing with my dog Finn and reading books.
