About Us
About Us New Day Children's Center is a not-for-profit organization conducted in and sponsored by Asbury United Methodist Church in Watertown, N.Y. It serves as an outreach of the church in an effort to make use of its facilities to serve a community need. We are licensed to accommodate 124 children between the ages of 8 weeks and 10 years of age. The center is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, made up of parents, church members and other people within the

From the Director
We have a long history of over 25 years serving children and their families. It's been great to be here long enough to see children that I had in my class so many years ago, coming back with their own children, and sometimes even their grandchildren!
We are continually thinking about things that will enhance the child care services that we offer. The parents depend on us to provide a program and an environment that will meet their child's needs.
The Board of Directors and staff are continually looking for ways to upgrade the facilities and expand our programs. In 2004, we completely remodeled our playground spaces. It was an amazing, week long, community build that I am so proud to have been involved in. Continued support from our parents, our fundraising efforts, and the commitment of our fundraising committee recently enabled us to complete a renovation of our kitchen space. New appliances, flooring and stainless steel shelving for storage will enable us to maintain our commitment to provide healthy meals to over 100 children each day.
Located very close to downtown, we are able to walk with the children to a variety of places that offer activities outside of the center. Swim lessons at the YMCA, Wednesday walks to the Farmers Market, programs offered at the Flower Memorial Library, and the Sci-Tech Center provide different experiences for the children and allow us the opportunity to collaborate with other agencies that provide programs for children.
The staff has over 120 years of combined experience at New Day. We pride ourselves on getting to know all of the children and their families that attend the center. When you walk in, everyone will know your name (just like Cheers)!
We hope that you will trust us to take care of your child. A positive attitude towards all children and their parents help us to be the best that we can be for the children.
