Emergency / Weather Closings

Day Care:
New Day Children’s Center will make every effort to remain open for service, even in times of inclement weather, for the convenience of the parents who rely on us so that they may meet work or school obligations. However, in the event that hazardous driving conditions exist in the county that causes the roads to be closed, travel prohibited or a declaration of a state of emergency, New Day Children’s Center will delay or close. In the event that weather conditions develop as outlined above or if the center should lose power for more than 2 hours, either before or after the center has opened for operation, New Day will close. If we have already opened for business, we will begin the process of notifying parents by either Class DOJO or the call-em-all system. We will do our best to give you at least a two hour notice. If the forecast calls for bad weather, and you have the availability of TV or radio at your place of employment, please listen for the possibility of an early closure. If we delay before opening we will be available to receive children at 9 am. Please check newzjunky or wwnytv for the possibility of a delay or closure. Please be sure that all of your contact information is correct and current.

New Day Children’s Center Universal Pre-Kindergarten will follow the direction of the Watertown City School District. If they close, there will be no
Pre-K. If they delay, Pre-K will delay.
