It was an exciting morning at New Day Children’s Center as we cut a ribbon to mark the Grand Opening of the Waddler Room. The Waddler Room, which can accommodate up to 8 children between the ages of 12 and 24 months, has been closed since COVID due primarily to staff shortages. The new classroom was furnished thanks to the Car-Freshner Corporation Charitable Fund and Jefferson Economic Development Fund, both grant opportunities through the Northern New York Community Foundation (NNYCF). Additional funding was received from the Missions Committee of Asbury United Methodist Church. We are so thankful for the community’s support and that we were joined today by members of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators, Senator Mark Walczyk and Assemblyman Scott Gray.
