Job Title: Assistant Pre-K Team Teacher
Salary: $13.20 to $14.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hour per week, Monday to Friday
Job Location: 327 Franklin Street, Watertown, NY 13601
Job Summary: The Team Teacher is responsible for teaching and maintaining a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom. The Team Teacher works collaboratively to implement lesson plans for age appropriate classroom activities and maintains compliance with the NYS Daycare Regulations. This person also provides leadership, supervision, and guidance to interns and substitutes. Methodical planning and recordkeeping are essential for this position.
Education Requirements: Infant/Toddler CDA, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development or coursework equivalent to a major related to early childhood education.
Experience: Two year of paid teaching experience in an infant or toddler classroom, including supervision, is required.

Other: Employment is conditional, pending satisfactory medical exam and TB test, receipt and clearance from the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, NYS Central Register for Child Abuse and Neglect, and the NYS Criminal Justice Center. New Day Children’s Center is a substance free workplace. Physical requirements of the job include standing, sitting, walking, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Preference is given to in-house candidates.
