Our Infant Room Staff
A warm and fuzzy place where it's all about your baby! This is where you form your first bond with New Day. We are committed to providing you with a safe and nurturing environment. It's all about floor time. The children in these rooms are between the ages of 8 weeks and 18 months of age. There are two full time caregivers in the room and an aide who adds an extra set of hands for one hour each day at lunch time. We consider ourselves to be breastfeeding friendly and encourage parents to visit the room and visit with your baby any time. We are full most of the time but we strongly encourage people to call and leave their name and number. There is no cost to be on our waiting list.
Rose Soluri, Head Teacher (2001)
I am currently the Head Teacher in one of our two Infant Rooms. I graduated from Watertown High School and have an Associates Degree in Human Services from JCC. Working with the babies and having the opportunity to play a role in helping them learn and experience the world around them is what sends me home with a smile each day. I learn just as much from them and that is really what it is all about.
Rebekha Stevens, Assistant Teachers, (2015)
I attended Watertown High School and BOCES for Early Childhood Education. I graduated in 2009 and went on to receive my Associates degree from Jefferson Community College in Early Childhood Education in 2014. I worked for the YMCA at SACC for 3 years and the daycare for a year before moving to Florida to do an internship for Walt Disney World. I knew at a young age that I wanted to work with children. It is a rewarding job and I enjoy seeing the children play, learn, grow, and develop. I look forward to working at New Day and meeting all the families that bring their children.
